By creating a regular HomeEnergySaver account (instead of, or in addition to, logging on via Facebook Connect), you will be able to track your savings on our site in the My Account section. You can also receive useful tips by email regarding new products, rebates, tax credits, and other advice on how to reduce your energy bills.
Why: In these trying financial times, many of us are looking for easy, sensible, affordable ways to reduce our monthly bills. It’s satisfying to know that you can do something good for the environment at the same time. By making a few small changes, and by conventional inefficient products for the new products offered on our site, your house can be less dependent on the grid, and you can save water too.

Our savings tracker provides you with 3 measures of your savings:
Here’s the logic: fossil fuel power plants emit CO2. Trees absorb CO2. There is a standard measure of how much CO2 a typical tree can remove from the air. If you are using less energy at home, the power plant that generates energy for your home needs to generate less energy, resulting in less CO2 being emitted. We equate every unit of CO2 not emitted into the air by a power plant, to the number of trees that it would take to absorb that same amount of CO2.
